Rosalind "Toupie" JoAnne Williams, 66, of Bemidji, MN, formerly of East Grand Forks, MN, died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at her home with her family at her side. She was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma July, 2008 and fought it to the end.
A celebration of life will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the New Salem Lutheran Church in Turtle River, MN with Rev. Karol McCracken officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji assisted the family with arrangements.
She was born June 14, 1943 in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Frank and Agnes (Telle) Klint.
She married Robert Williams March 16, 1960. She lived in East Grand Forks/Grand Forks for 53 years until 1997 when she and her husband moved to Bemidji, MN. During her life she worked in many different areas which included Whitey's Café in East Grand Forks until she moved to Bemidji. She then worked for MDE test driving cars. Her last job until retirement was with Anderson Fabric in Blackduck, MN.
She is survived by her husband: Robert Williams Children: Cathy (Tom) Nash Bobbie (Dave) Plaia Michael (Cary) Williams 9 grandchildren: Shanna (Joe) Lory, Jared Nash, Gina Dorsher, Sabrina Williams, Jake Nash, Luke Plaia, Cody Plaia, Jasmine Williams and Raquel Williams 5 great grandchildren: Kayleigh Lory, Emma Dorsher, Isabella Dorsher-Lory, Gavin Nash and Joey Lory. Sisters: Marilyn (Stanley) Pietrzak and Donna (John) Purcell And an aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Agnes (Telle) Klint, brother Orlen Klint; great granddaughter Kaitlyn Ann Breeton-Nash and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
