Jerry was born in Buncombe County to the late Wilma Pauline Carroll and Sam Roy Bryant. He is now together again with his son Zebb Wayne Quinn in heaven.
Jerry was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Marines. He was a friend to all and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Surviving are his daughter, Brandi Grace Quinn of Arden; sisters, Judy Quinn Hall and her husband Don, Ina Sams, Susie Tuder and Patty Young, all of Asheville; grandchildren, Mackenzie Stamey, Kallie Stamey, Whitney Stamey and Sophie Quinn; his best friend Shane Meadows, Scarlett his dog and all of his rowdy "brothers". A memorial service with military honors will be held at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road Monday, December 30, 2013 at 4pm with Pastor Claude Kayler officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
