She was born April 20, 1941, at Dardanelle to the late Alfred Levi and Ida Smith Snider.
She was an ordained pastor of the Glory Bound Pentecostal Church and loved camping, growing flowers and watching birds.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bennie Sims; one brother, Carrell Snider; and one step-son, Tony Sims.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Cossey and wife Annette, and Tracy Cossey and wife Connie all of Dardanelle; one step-son, James Sims and wife Penny of Dardanelle; four step-daughters and their husbands, Brenda and Alfred Tucker of Dardanelle, Diane and Jonathan Formigoni of Pottsville, Shelia and Ken Hiemer of Russellville, and Tammy and Tim Kriesel of Plumerville; three sisters, Judy Sanders of Russellville, Joyce Le and husband Phu of North Little Rock, Karen Lee of Russellville; two brothers, Billy Snider and wife Mary of Pocahontas, Ricky Snider and wife Sandy of Atkins; four grandchildren, Stacy Johnson and husband Chris of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Stephanie Roath and husband Jon of Murrieta, California, Sydney Cossey of Dardanelle, and Zac Cossey of Russellville; three great grandchildren, Mady and Mika Johnson of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and Ally Cossey of Russellville; ten step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 30, 2013 at New Hope Cemetery in Dardanelle. Visitation will be held Sunday, 2:00P.M. to 4:00P.M. at Cornwell Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab Center, Arkansas Hospice, and Dr. Allan Kirkland for going above and beyond in making Mom's last couple of years as comfortable as possible.
