Bill was a farmer and raised cows for most of his working years. Although, he also worked for National Homes and was one of the primary builders of Edgewood Subdivision in Brazil. He also worked with Pell Roofing and Siding and at the original Pell Bargain Mart. He found his joy in working on the farm and with the cattle. He raised Polled Herefords and loved helping his grandchildren learn about farm life and was active in 4-H with the grandchildren also. He was a 50 year member of the Masons and he also enjoyed being a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He and Peggy were members of the Harmony United Methodist Church.
Bill's best job was being Grandpa. He had the grandkids help him with many jobs on the farm and he taught them many things, including how to start a fire, cut wood and how to drive a tractor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James E. Pell; an infant daughter, Melissa Pell; one son, William Earl "Bill" Pell, II; and his wife Peggy Pell, July 27, 2013.
Survivors include his two daughters and sons in law, Suzy and Mike Morgan and Sally and Mike Evinger; daughter in law, Pam Pell; grandchildren, Lori (J.C.) Riddell, Traci Reinoehl, Tad Pell, Jennifer (Dave) Clark, Megan (Seth) Smock, Travis Morgan, Amy (Cody) Tucker, Adam (Ashley) Evinger, Chris (Jen) Evinger, and Joe (Ahnya) Evinger; great-grandchildren, Brodie Riddell (Lynsey Huffman), Brylie Riddell, Logan Reinoehl, Landon Reinoehl, Maddi (Jayme) Gambill, Siddalee Clark, Saylor Clark, Shiloh Clark, Asthon Hayes, Aiden Hayes, Kreely Smock, Olivia Tucker, Colton Evinger and Eli Evinger; one brother, John R. Pell and wife Rosie and one sister, Shirley Koehler and husband Chris; several nieces and nephews and extended family.
Funeral Information
Services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00am at the Lawson-Miller Chapel with Pastor Bob Kumpf officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2013, from 4-8pm and again Saturday prior to services.
