Found in The State 04 July 1959: Mrs. Annie Jones DuPre, 83, of 410 South Waccamaw, widow of Ernest Madison DuPre, died at a local nursing home Friday afternoon. Mrs. DuPre was born in Columbia Sept. 9, 1875, a daughter of the late Anna Jones and John Randolph Jones. She made her home in Columbia all of her life and was a member of Washington Street Methodist Church. She was a life member of the Women's Christian Service Union, a member of the Isabel Martin Sunday School class and sang in the choir at Washington Street for 40 years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Marion A. Park, Mrs. D. Colie Craft, both of Columbia, and Mrs George W. Link of Aldan, Pa.; three sons, Ernest Randolph DuPre of Lancaster, Gilbert C. DuPre and John Paul DuPre of Columbia; one sister, Mrs. Moffat B. DuPre of Columbia; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. A son, Albert Jones DuPre of Columbia, died June 27, 1959.
