RUPERT — Maria Hale Pedroza, 31, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013.

Maria was born March 25, 1982, in Burley, Idaho, to Stella and Mario Pedroza. She lived in Arizona and Burley, Idaho. She went to school and completed a medical billing course online. Maria worked at McDonald's in Arizona and Burley; she also worked at Subway in Burley and had a paper route for the South Idaho Press. Maria enjoyed making family videos for funerals and weddings. Maria liked riding the Head Start bus with her kids and being a stay-at-home mom. She liked making purses for a hobby; she also enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Maria is survived by Gilbert Trujillo (divorced); Jordan McGrath (divorced); her children, Jessica Trujillo, Dominique Trujillo, Kiya McGrath and Mattalynn McGrath; her parents, Stella Hale and Steven Bill; grandparents, Karen Hale and June Bill; brothers, Stephen Bill and Jonathan Bill; and sister, Squeak (Lupe) Pedroza. She is preceded in death by her grandpa, Carol Hale Sr.; numerous other grandparents; and one uncle, Sam Hale.

The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at the Grace Community Church, with Pastor Travis Turner officiating. Viewing for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, at Hansen Mortuary, 710 Sixth St. in Rupert, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Services will conclude in the Pella Cemetery under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
