SPANISH FORK - Funeral services for Alta Rose Blackett Holt, 69, Spanish Fork, who died Saturday in Payson City Hospital, will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Spanish Fork 5th Ward Chapel.
She was born April 19, 1902 in Springville, a daughter of Harvey V. and Rosa Tame Blackett. She was educated in the Springville Schools and married Lewis P. Holt Jan. 17, 1923 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died March 23, 1969. She and her husband made their home on East Canyon Road. She was an active member of the LDS Church and was a teacher in the Primary for many years. She was quilting chairman of the Fifth Ward Relie society. She served as president of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Sun Bonnet Camp. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of the Studior Club of Spanish Fork and a memeber of the Spanish Fork Senior Citizens, having traveled on many tours with the group. Surviving are a son and five daughters: Paul B. Holt, Sandy; Mrs Norman (Alta Marie) Seamons, Mapleton; Mrs. John (lila) Gold of St. Anthon, Idaho; Mrs. Dail (Mary Leah) Davis, of Landers, Wyo.; Mrs. J.R. (Ellen) Coffey, Wichita Falls, Ida; and Mrs. Larry (Ruth) Carter of Payson.
Bishop Gerald Anderson will be conduction funeral services. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
