January 4, 1962 - December 21, 2013

Gregory Don Ramsey, 51, of Blair, Ok formerly of Lubbock passed away on December 21, 2013 in Decatur, Texas. Family will gather for a visitation on Thursday December 26, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. A service celebrating his life will be held Friday December 27, 2013 at 2:00 pm in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Gregg was born on January 4, 1962 in Lamesa, TX to Lloyd and Lanis (Todd) Ramsey. He attended Coronado High School where he played the tuba and received All State Honors. After graduating in 1980 he joined the United States Air Force and served abroad in Operation Desert Storm, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia. He retired after 20 years of dedicated service at the rank of Staff Sergeant. After retiring from the Air Force, Gregg worked as a civil service government employee at several locations. He has been employed at Altus AFB, Altus, OK for the last 10 years. After retirement he enjoyed bowling, fishing, and traveling. Gregg was a very giving person. His loving attitude allowed him to embrace anyone who crossed his path whether it was a person or animal. He never met a stranger. His family described his life in three words; gentle, generous and caring.

Those left to cherish his memories are his 2 daughters, Jennifer and Jessica Ramsey; four grandchildren Kai, Jacob, Junior and Zyha; parents, Lloyd and Lanis Ramsey; brothers Todd and wife Terri, Scott and wife Cathy; a loving partner Nickie; and a host of other relatives, and friends.
