Robert "Bob" L. Abbott, 82, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 1:35 PM on Thursday, December 26, 2013, at IU Health Blackford Hospital in Hartford City, IN. He was born on Wednesday, May 06, 1931, in Blackford Co., IN. He married Joan Sharp on Sunday, March 20, 1955, in Roll United Methodist Church. Bob was a 1949 graduate of Roll High School. He was a US Army Veteran, serving from 1955-1957. Bob retired from Kerr Glass Company in Dunkirk, IN, after many years of service. He was a Blackford County Farmer for most of his life. Bob loved to hunt and fish, but most of all loved spending time with his family; especially his grandkids and great grandkids. He was a member of the Hickory Grove Church of the Brethren in Dunkirk, IN.
