Sue was born on July 12th, 1941 in Pineville, Louisiana, daughter of the late Houston and Ruby Olene Briggs.
Susie, as she was called affectionately by her husband of 52 years, Jack Williams, was a doting wife, mother, and grandmother, and nothing gave her greater joy than hearing the words, "I love you, Nana! I love you, Gran!" Sue was a beloved teacher and mentor at West Monroe High School from 1964 until 1993, where she touched the lives of many teenagers with her sharp wit and genuine caring. Sue was a long standing member of Beta Psi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Teacher Fraternity. She faithfully gave to others supporting the House of Hope Children's Home in Nebya, Dominican Republic and many other outreach projects of the White's Ferry Road Church. Sue loved her country and her Lord and truly was a tireless servant especially to her family.
Sue was survived by her loving husband, Jack Allen "Coach Jack" Williams; three sons, Jay (and his wife, Judy) Williams, Steve (and his wife, Rhonda) Williams, and Mike (and his wife, Missy) Williams; five grandchildren, Houston, Susanna, John Thomas, Callie, and Silas; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.

THIS IS A TRIBUTE IN MEMORY OF SUE,
If you could see me now you wouldn't shed a tear, Though you may not understand why I'm no longer there. Remember my spirit, that is the real me because I'm still very much alive, I've just been set free. Oh, if you could only see!
I have held our Father's face and I've touched my Savior's hand. All of Heaven's angels rejoiced as I entered the promised land. Beyond the gates of pearl I've walked on the golden streets.
I've touched the walls of jasper and dipped my foot in the crystal sea. The beauty is beyond words and nothing could compare, I've even seen our Lords mansion and someday I'll meet you there. Let Jesus be your guide because "His Word" will show you the way. So please don't cry because we will meet again someday.
