Barbara Cooney-Robinson died peacefully at her home in Greenbrae following a brief illness. She was 91. Bobbie was born on January 19, 1922, in Wichita, Kansas, and moved with her family to Marin County a few years later. She attended local elementary schools and graduated from Tamalpais High School in 1939. She then attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, where she met and later married Charles Beck Cooney, a graduate of the University of Missouri, in September, 1943. In 1944, Bobbie moved with her husband and infant son to San Francisco and then to Kentfield where she lived for the next 55 years. Her husband died in 1989. In 2001, Bobbie was married to a childhood friend, Eugene Robinson, and moved with him to The Tamalpais in Greenbrae. Bobbie is survived by three of her children and their spouses, Michael (Marni) of Santa Barbara; Buffy (Herb) of Ross; and Peter (Lue Ann) of Mill Valley; four grand-children, Patrick (Christie), Christopher, Ryan (Kristin), and Morgan; and four great-grandchildren, Kate, Charlotte, Caroline, and Evan. Bobbie's daughter, Peggy (Bedge), pre-deceased her in 2010. Bobbie devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She had many friends and was a good friend to each of them. As time permitted, she volunteered in the schools, at Marin General Hospital, and for the Sunny Hills Guild. She was a longtime member of the Meadow Club and of the Town & Country Club of San Francisco.
