Gary A. Warner Sr., age 61, of Fort Plain, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady.

He was born on September 16, 1952, in Gloversville, a son of the late Gilbert L. Warner and Florence Arlene Kretser, who survives.

Mr. Warner was employed for many years as a door assembler for Kasson & Keller.

Gary loved working in the back garage at home crafting Adirondack chairs, loveseats, picnic tables, wishing wells, toy boxes and many other items. He enjoyed hunting every season with his faithful brother, Tim Kretser and longtime friend, Butch Baum. Gary also liked to fish in his spare time.

Mr. Warner was a great husband, father, papa, poppy, brother, son, friend and much much more.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, being outdoors, The Wood Shop, watching wildlife, taking trips to the game farm and Catskill Game Farm with his family, visiting his partner in crime Butch and much more.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda L. Rorick Warner, whom he married on April 26, 1985; one son, Gary A. Warner Jr. of Ilion; two daughters, Anne (David) Walker of Palatine Bridge and Kristyna (Shane) Knoblauch of North Carolina; mother, Florence Arlene Kretser of Fort Plain; two brothers, Dan (Deb) Warner of Fort Plain and Tim Kretser of Sprakers; four grandchildren, Scott Warner, Nicholas Knoblauch, Matthew Knoblauch and Kimberly Knoblauch; several nieces, nephews, cousins; Gary and Brenda's pet companion, Babe Arlene Warner; and their pet granddaughters, Daysie Layne and Cocoa Puff Walker.

Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
