Kayla Janeen Hall

Obituary

Kayla Janeen Hall went home to be with her Lord and personal Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday morning, June 9th, 2013, after being found unconscious on Saturday in the neighborhood pool.

Besides swimming, Kayla dearly loved playing church basketball, cooking and baking for her family, riding roller coasters, and she especially loved the beach. She volunteered at the Glenaire Retirement Center, helping with bingo. She loved participating in the "Day Without Shoes" walk with her classmates from Salem Middle School. Kayla treasured time spent with her Dad while he walked her to the bus stop each school morning. She and her Mom had great fun doing their nails, creating new hairdos and hanging out together. She loved playing with her siblings and helping with the care of her younger brothers, sisters and cousins. She was always willing to do whatever was needed. Words cannot express what a wonderful, kind, sweet-natured, beautiful and helpful girl she was. In death, Kayla will help even more people: her eyes will help another see; her skin will help another heal; her arm and leg bones will help cancer patients; and most comforting, her sweet, special heart will allow another child's heart to keep beating.

We loved Kayla beyond measure, and we know that someday we will all be united again in God's great eternal home, and she will be there to greet us with her sweet, sweet smile.

Kayla is survived by her loving parents, Joy Hall and Donald Haley; siblings Brittany, Deanna, Davin, Rylan, Lola, Donald Jr., Rose and Vincent and stepsisters Quanisha and Nikia ; Maternal grandparents David and Joan Hall; Paternal grandmother Lola Haley. Aunts, Uncles and cousins including, but not limited to: Auntie Laura, Uncle John, Jacob, Corbin and Autumn; Aunt Tressa and Danielle; Aunt Pam, Chris, Tabrinna, and Kayci; D.J.; Aja; Uncle Korey, Mimi and Dewey; Aunt Jen, Twiz and Jaden.

Funeral services in honor of Kayla will be held at Colonial Baptist Church, 6051 Tryon Road Cary, NC, at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 12, 2013.

Because of Kayla's love of basketball, we request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the basketball program at Colonial Baptist Church.
