In 1896, Harriet married Casper Emil "Mickey" Meyers in Oakley, Ont. In 1899, they moved to Barwick, Ont. where they lived in & ran the Prohibition Hotel.
In 1906, they moved across the Rainy River where Mickey took a homestead in Manitou, MN. Harriet & Mickey also ran the Manitou store & post office. After years of hard work in the store, on the farm, & in the woods, Harriet & Mickey's home was one of the showplaces in the Manitou area.
The Meyers had 4 children: Emily Louise (Mrs. Irl Smootz), Albert Joshua Casper (Bert), Violet May ( Mrs. Jesse Sonderman), & John David.
Harriet was active in the Birchdale Congregational Church.
The Meyers retired in 1938 & traveled extensively in the United States & Canada. By 1958, they had built a home in Indus near their daughter Emily Smootz where they spent their remaining years.
When Harriet died, she was buried in the Indus Cemetery beside her husband.
