Aaron Phillip Thornton, 41, passed away December 19, 2013. He was born February 17, 1972 in Sacramento, CA and was a 29 year Yuba-Sutter resident.
Aaron graduated from Yuba City High School, he then went to Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, AZ. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Artillery Transport. Aaron has worked the past 10 years at Home Depot in Yuba City, CA.
Aaron loved his family, friends and his dog Chi Chi. He enjoyed traveling, riding his Harley with his friends. He loved barbecuing and watching a Green Bay Packers game. He was a former Master Councilor of Liberty Chapter, Order of DeMolay in Marysville. He is a member of Chapter 10 of E Clampus Vitus.
Aaron is survived by his grandpa Joseph G. Banas and his mother Pamela Thornton of Yuba City, CA; his brother Jason M. (Tammy) Thornton of Oxford, NC; his Aunt Melodee Thornton of Sacrament, CA; his nephews Jorren Thornton of Chapel Hill, NC, Bryan Stewart of Yuba City, CA, and Jonathan Stewart of Boulder, CO.
Aaron was preceded in death by his father Raymond E. Thornton, grandparents Raymond & Thelma Thornton, grandmother Eva Belle Banas and Uncle Gary W. Thornton.
Memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Yuba City at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2013.
