Deceased Name: Elizabeth S. 'Lib' Bullington

CORDELE -- Funeral services for Elizabeth S. "Lib" Bullington, 83, will be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.

Mrs. Bullington died at her residence early Friday morning, June 1, 2007.

A native of Sampson County, N.C., she was born on Thursday, Jan. 10, 1924 to the late Evander Straughn and the late Bettie Quinn Straughn. The widow of Thomas R. "Tommy" Bullington, Mrs. Bullington was a homemaker, cosmetologist and member of the Wenona United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Donald (Cassandra) Bullington and John T. (Jean) Bullington all of Cordele; her daughter, Jackie Moncrief of Cordele; her brothers, Howard Straughn of Wilmington, N.C., Perry Straughn of Sawsboro, N.C., and Harry Straughn of Warsaw, N.C.; her sisters, Hattie Lamb of Concord, N.C., and Betty Cain of Rosebury, N.C.; ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family maybe contacted at the home of John T. Bullington, 213 E. Rockhouse Road, Cordele.
