Mrs. Gwendolyn Moses, 79, of Barnes Road, Bowdon, died January 24, 2002.

Mrs. Moses was born Novmber 15, 1922, in Grady County, daughter of the late John Robert Gainey and Minnie Lee Shores Gainey. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Methodist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Moses; one infant son; a sister, Myrtice Gainey; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Larry and Joan Moses of Bowdon, Janice and Curtis Sanders of Tallapoosa, John and Janice Moses of Equality, Alabama, Gayle Galloway of Bowdon and Beverly and Charles Shoemake of Roopville; brother, Haywood Gainey of Climax, GA; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grand children.

Funeral services will be Sunday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. at Martin and Hightower West Center Street chapel with Rev. Allen Abney and Rev. Wayne Webb officiating.

Burial will follow in the Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery.

Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton has charge of the arrangements.
