Son of Connally Trigg Jessee and Margaret Augusta (Pyle) Jessee, of Lebanon, Virginia, U.S.A., husband of Marjorie Eleanor (Southerland) Jessee, of Vancouver, BC.

James was one of 21 RCAF personnel who died when their plane crashed and exploded while attempting to land at Estevan airfield, Saskatchewan.
