Obituary from Wayne County Press, Fairfield, IL, Monday, May 2, 1994 Page 2: Mrs. Nola Barnard, 77, of Wayne City, died at 4:10 a.m. Sunday, May 1, 1994, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon. The wife of Estel Barnard, she had been in failing health. Funeral rites will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday from the Arrington Prairie (Bailey) Church, with Bro. Roger Tate and Bro. George Musgrave officiating. Interment will be in Thomason Cemetery at Wayne City. Visitation will be at the Richardson Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Tuesday and at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. She was born in Wayne County June 27, 1916, the daughter of Albert and Fannie Hilliard Shehorn. On Aug. 21, 1936, she was married to Estel Barnard. Mrs. Barnard was a member of the Arrington Prairie (Bailey) General Baptist Church, the Home Bureau, Monday evening Women's Club, a charter member of the Ladies Aid and a member of the Women's Missionary Society. Memorials may be made to the Women's Missionary Society at the funeral home. Surviving are her husband; one son, . . . ; two daughters,. . . ; one sister, Mrs. Leota Pike, of Fairfield; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
