She was born 1922 in Marion Center, to Charles W. and Katherine Sherry Barr.
Mrs. Rowe was a member of the Marion Center United Methodist Church.
She was secretary and manager of Rowe & Barr Service, Marion Center, and also served as Notary Public and Justice of the Peace for many years. She resided in Marion Center her entire life.
She loved to bake and sold baked goods in the Marion Center area for many years.
Fern is survived by three sons, Ronald O. McCoy and wife Sharon, Marion Center; Gary Rowe and wife Debby, Marion Center; John Rowe and wife Marcia, Marion Center; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband John "Bill" Rowe in 1980; by four brothers and one sister, Homer and Elsworth Jefferies, Dean and Neal Barr, and Isabelle McCoy
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 11 A.M. with the Rev. Carl White officiating.
Private interment will be made in the Marion Center Memorial Cemetery.
