Mr. Jake A Riffe of this place received a telegram this morning from Butte, Montana, stating that his brother-in-law, Dr O Y Warren, could not live but a few hours. Dr Warren is an eminent physician of Montana and was for many years the physician in charge of the state asylum at Warm Springs. He is a native of Monroe county and was born at Union forty seven years ago. He went to Montana about twenty-two years ago and became permanently identified with the interests of that state and was at one time a member of the state legislature. He is survived by a wife and two small children. He has been married about six years. Dr Warren had not been in good health for a long time and was afflicted with rheumatism and other complications. He is a brother of George W Warren, cashier of the Bank of Raleigh, and Mrs Jake A Riffe of this place. Mr George Warren left here last night on No 1 for Montana, but is not likely to reach there before his brother's death.
