Died at Fremont Area Medical Center Thursday night. He was born December 30, 1963 in Fremont and was raised here attending Fremont Schools and graduating from Fremont High School in 1982. Darren worked for Jayhawk Box Company for over 25 years and then for HyVee Grocery Store.
Darren enjoyed Bowling and loved the Black Hills, his dog Bossy and having coffee with friends.
He is survived by one sister, Lori May Wilkinson (husband David) of Omaha; four brothers, Shawn May (wife Susie) of Fremont, Rory May (wife Robyne) of Brandon, Florida, Brian May of Kansas City, Missouri and Mike May (wife Janet) of Glenwood, Iowa; eleven nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Patricia May.
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Rev. Ronald Battiato officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Dugan Funeral Chapel with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 and the Rosary being recited at 7:00. There has been a memorial established to the Dodge County Humane Society and St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery.
