Mr. Bendure was born January 14, 1945 to Clarence and Hazel (Peterson) Bendure in Baxter Springs, Kansas.
He was an independent truck driver and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era.
He was a member of the Cherokee Nation and a member of D.A.V.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one son: Terry Bendure, two sisters: Clarnita Lee Robertson, and Karen Stevens.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Quapaw Tribal Center with Jimmy Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Peoria Cemetery with Jeremey Olson honoring him with Native American Rites. The family set with Mr. Bendure at the Long House. Professional Services will be under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami, Oklahoma. (Paul Thomas)
