Virgil Albrecht, 43, returned to his Father in Heaven on October 28, 2005. Vince passed away at home after a long, heroic battle against a rare neurological disease, ALD.Vince was born October 3, 1962, in Richfield, Utah, to Virgil and Karen Cooper Albrecht. He grew up in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1980. He served an honorable LDS mission in New York City.He married Angela Dawn Judd on December 3, 1988, in Lindon, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple. They were later divorced. They have two wonderful sons, Colten and Seth, who were the light and joy of his life, and the reason he was able to hang on for so long.Vince was a loyal Denver Broncos, New York Yankees, and Utah Jazz fan.He is survived by his sons, Colten Virgil (16) and Seth David (12) Albrecht; his mother and loving care-taker, Karen Larsen, and step-father, Newell J. Larsen, Pleasant Grove; his older brothers, Rick (Marcy) Albrecht and Mitchell (Jean) Albrecht, all of Alpine; he is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. His father, Virgil Albrecht, preceded him in death.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2005, at 11 a.m., at the Grovecreek 2nd Ward Chapel, 700 East 500 North, Pleasant Grove. Family and friends may call Tuesday evening at the church from 7-9 p.m.; and, 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
