Update regarding the death date:

Several sources evidently used July 28, 1897 for Ida's death date. However, closer inspection of the wording of her Fairfield Tribune obituary published on July 28, 1897, suggests that her death may actually have been on Thursday, July 21, 1897.

That said, her Jefferson County Republican obituary published on Thursday, July 29, 1897 suggested that she died the previous Tuesday evening.

Also, the Fairfield Weekly Journal obituary on August 4, 1897 also suggested she died on a Tuesday, but because that item is drawn from previously published accounts the exact date may not be known.
