Benjamin R. (Pappa Ben) Rosecrans 82 died March 6, 2012.
Born in Cohoes and a life long resident he was son of the late Benjamin and Ismae Lally Rosecrans.
He graduated from LaSalle Instatute and served his country during the Korean War in the US Army as Corporal.
He had been employed at St. Regis Paper Co. The Cohoes City School District and at WalMart.
He belonged to the Cohoes American Legion, the Cohoes Mens Association and the Cohoes Mens Recreational Softball League.
He enjoyed hunting, golfing, bowling and his annual trips to Daytona Beach Florida.
Survived by his loving wife Elaine Hobbs Rosecrans, his children Denise (Donnie) LeQue and Douglas Rosecrans. Step father of Ed (Karen) Gregory, Dan (Lesleigh Rushford) Gregory, Nancy (Dan) Hytko, John (Mary) Gregory and Mary Ellen Gregory. Brother of Eleanor ( Gene) Liddle and the late William Rosecrans. He will be fondly remembered by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews as Pappa Ben.
Interment will be in Saratoga National Cemetery with full military honors.
