IDA BRANCH, 92 Homemaker PORT CHARLOTTE, FL. - Mrs. Ida Branch, age 92, died of heart failure Wednesday (March 21, 2007) at Charlotte Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Branch was born April 20, 1914, in Sermons, FL. She was the daughter of Walter and Sleety Johnson. She and her husband built a home in Mulberry, FL., in 1948 where she resided until Feb. 2002. She then moved to Port Charlotte, FL., from 2002 until her demise. Mrs. Branch was a homemaker, and a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Mulberry, Fl. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, James L. Branch; sister, Annie Mae Branch, Pauline Hutchinson, and their husbands, one daughter-in-law, & two sons-in-law. She is survived by her children, J.W. Johnson, Melbourne, Fl., Sally George, Lakeland, Fl., Joann Griswold, Port Charlotte, Fl., Wilmer & Josie Branch of Mulberry, Fl.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. She will be sorely missed by her loving family and friends. Visitation will be held Sun., March 25, 2007 at Seigler Funeral Home, Hwy. 60 E., Mulberry, Fl. from 2-3 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. The Rev. Jake Johnson (her grandson) will preside over the services.
