CECIL CLENARD GREENE Mr. Cecil Clenard Greene, age 77, of Green Acres Road, Millers Creek died Monday, July 27, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital in Columbus, NC. Funeral services will be held 11:00, Friday, July 31, at Millers Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry White, Rev. Jim Gore, and the Rev. Shannon Critcher officiating. Entombment will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 Thursday night. Mr. Greene was born in Watauga Co, on June 3, 1932, to Willie Lawrence and Flora Belle Greene. He was a member of Millers Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Greene served in the US Air Force in the Korean War. He was retired from Holly Farms, where he was purchasing agent. In addition to his parents, Mr. Greene was preceded in death by two sisters, Nettie Lorena Greene and Linda Kay Greene Watson. Mr. Greene is survived by his wife, Betty Costner Greene of the home; one daughter, Janet Elizabeth Greene of Millers Creek; one son, Gary Cecil Greene and wife, Ana of Wilmington; three sisters, Wilma Lathan of Hudson, Wilhelmenia Harris of Millers Creek, and Louella Copley of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Alex and Tory.
