In 1951, Arthur McCoy, Sr. was born to Annie Storks and (unknown first name) Mr. McCoy. Arthur attended school in his hometown of Dunnellon, FL. During his latter teen years, he moved to Saint Petersburg, FL which he lived in, until he passed.

Throughout his adult life, Arthur worked as a block mason. Arthur took pride in his work, and made it known (to his friends and children) that he was a proud block mason.

In 1971, Arthur fathered his first child (Angella McCoy) with Loretha Washington. In 1976, he married his one and only wife (Debra Mitchell), with whom he fathered his other three children: Arthur McCoy, Jr., LaToya McCoy, and Katrina McCoy. Arthur loved his wife and all of his children, very much. He was always proud to let people know who his children and wife were.

Arthur's hobbies were fishing, working on cars, and spending time with his friends. Many looked forward to the company of Arthur, because being around him meant you were sure to hear a funny joke, or see some cool dance moves.

Arthur knew the importance of having a relationship with Christ. For this reason, he gave his soul to Christ and accepted Him as his Lord and Savior.
