Kennedy, Jane Kelly. A Waukegan native, died on December 24, 2013 in Bradenton, FL. Jane grew up on Hickory St. The daughter of John and Ellen Kelly; amidst 8 siblings, 2 of which (Frannie and Gerry) joined her in the formation of The Kelly Sisters. The singing trio performed at venues across the U.S. with the USO during WWII, eventually being signed to perform in theatres and night clubs. Jane married Roland Kennedy, also from Waukegan. They had 53 wonderful years together, retiring in FL. Predeceased by Roland, the love of her life. Survivors include sisters, Gerrie Keirnan and Ginger Durkin, Waukegan, IL; her 4 loving children, Roland Kennedy Jr., (Laura) of Sarasota, FL, John Kennedy (Debra) of Parrish, FL, Steve Kennedy (Cheryl) of Waterloo, IA, Elizabeth Kennedy-Mouritsen (Roger) of Seattle, WA; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who will remember the sound of her laughter. Her faith in Jesus sustained her and gave her joy throughout her life. A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church in Sarasota, FL. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
