GRANGER - Kenneth F. Gamble, 96, of Granger, IN, passed away at 5:05 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, in his residence, with his family at his bedside. Kenneth was born on August 9, 1916, in Cory, IN, to Daniel R. and Sarah (Smith) Gamble. On September 16, 1939, in South Bend, IN, Kenneth married Dorothy F. Edmondson. Dorothy survives along with their five daughters, Sharon (Joseph) Fodrocy of Granger, IN, Patricia Fodrocy of Standish, ME, Nancy Weaver of South Bend, IN, Mary (Richard) McDonough of Mishawaka, IN, and Vicki Carpenter of Indianapolis, IN; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Gamble; two sisters, Norma (Kenneth) Easton of Mishawaka, IN, and Donna (Ronnie) McCartney of Lakeville, IN; a brother, Jerry (Barbara) Gamble of Cory, IN; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Gamble of Jasonville, IN, and Sue Gamble of New Carlisle, IN; twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Sarah Gamble, a son, Daniel R. Gamble, a son-in-law, Jim Fodrocy, four brothers, Dan Gamble Jr., Russell Gamble, John Joe and his wife, Locia, and Chester (Gene) Gamble. Kenneth retired from Wheelabrator in 1979 after 10 years of service, where he worked as a Millwright. Upon retirement Kenneth would farm his 100 acres of farmland that was located near the Mishawaka exit by the toll road. Kenneth attended Harris Prairie Church of Christ. He was a member of the Wyatt Conservation and Coon Hunters Club and he was a Journeyman Millwright. Visitation for Kenneth will be on Monday, July 22, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where funeral services will also take place on Tuesday, July 23, at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637. .
