Notes on Cemetery: The site of Chequer or Checker Alley Quaker Burial Ground lies in an area historically known as Bunhill Fields when 30 square yards of ground was purchased in 1661 by London Quakers for £270*. This would be the now named "Quaker Gardens" on Banner St between Bunhill Row & Whitecross St in the City of London and the 1691 burying place of Quaker George Fox. The location is extant, however much smaller than it once was and now converted into a small garden. Cemetery ID #2307459
