Kathleen M. Brunner, age 59, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 surrounded by her beloved family and friends after her long and courageous battle with lung cancer.

She was born in The Bronx on January 24, 1954 to Charles and Grace Becker.

She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas, and her children, Steven and wife, Jenna, Ricky and wife, JoAnna, and Carrie and husband, Michael, and her grandson, Nicholas. She was beloved by her sisters and brother as well as her nieces and nephews.

Kathy was the family matriarch, as a strong and loving mother, wife, sister, and friend, she was always there to listen, to guide, and to support. She will be dearly missed by all.

The family will receive visitors on Friday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, New City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Aedan's Church, Pearl River.
Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet.
