Mr. Charlie Tyson, 56, of 407 Parkview St., Wilson passed away Sunday at Nash General Hospital, Rocky Mount. Service will be held Saturday 2 p.m. at Suggs Christian Temple Church, 1602 Stantonsburg Road, Wilson. Dr. Nathaniel Poole will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street Extension.
Loving memories are forever cherished by his mother, Mrs. Josephine Tyson Williams of Wilson; four daughters, Tashika Bodden (Frank) of Nashville, Terrie Pender of Greenville, Dearie Pender of Raleigh and Kimberly Tyson-Wilkins; two sons, Dereck Pender (Shenell) of Greenville and Clarence Williams of Rocky Mount; six sisters, Barbara Barnes (Leroy), Bettie Howard (Michael), Cynthia Tyson, all of Hampton, Va., Etta Mae Cobb (WC), Kimberly Mack (Michael), both of Wilson, and Josie Tyson (Dwight) of Raleigh; three brothers, John Tyson, Manuel Tyson (Phil), both of Wilson, and June Lee of New York; and a host of other special relatives and friends.
A viewing will take place Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 726 Tarboro St. SW, with the family present to receive friends from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. All other times the family will receive friends at the residence where they will also assemble one hour prior to the service.
