John H. Satterfield, Sr., 77, a 50 year resident of Greensboro, MD passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 15, 1936 in Greensboro to the late Carroll and Mildred Satterfield. Mr. Satterfield was employed with Johnson Control of Middletown, DE retiring after 33 years of service. He was an avid hunter and trap shooter and was a life member of the Millington Sportsman's Club. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Mary Frances Satterfield, siblings Virginia Taylor, Carroll, James and Charles Satterfield. He is survived by his children, 8 grandchildren, great grandchildren, 2 sisters, brother, goddaughter, friend and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews cousins and friends. The funeral service for will be on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greensboro Cemetery following the service.
