Laura Nell Steele, 67, Lexington, Mo., formerly of this area, died Feb. 24, 1989, at a hospital in Lexington. She was born in Versailles, Mo. and lived in Kansas City before moving to Lexington 12 years ago. Mrs. Steele was formerly a nurse at the University Hospital for 11 years. She was a member of the Flenrietta (Mo.) Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Steele, of the home; two daughters, Mary Schreier, Lexington, and Ruth Davis, Wellington, Mo.; two brothers, James M. Skaggs, Corder, Mo., and Billy Raymond Skaggs, Waverly, Mo.; four sisters, Ollie Nadine Cothran, Los Angeles, Janice Fry, Cameron, Mo., and Pearl Irene Wilson and Margaret June Martin of Waverly; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 pm Monday at the church; burial in the Calvary Cemetery, Corder.
