Helen Nadine Ainley Mathis, 99, of South Fulton, TN, formerly of Dresden, TN, died Friday May 8, 2015 at the Martin Health Care Center in Martin, TN. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 10, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Acree Cemetery near Dukedom, TN. Friends may call Sunday from 1:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM. Dr. Don McCulley and Bro. Darrick Holloman will officiate the services.

Mrs. Mathis was born May 1, 1916 in Weakley County, TN to the late Dewey and Willie Ellen Harris Ainley. She was a member of Dresden First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gaither G. Mathis; two sons, Marion Gayle Mathis and William Harvey Mathis; a daughter, Linda Bruce; a sister Rava Nell Bell; and two brothers, Harding Ainley and Ray Ainley.

Mrs. Mathis is survived by two daughters, Nell (Jimmie) Blalock of Mayfield, KY and Kaye (Kirk) Dixon of Fulton, KY; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Sue) Ainley of Dresden, TN and Rubert (Tommy Sue) Ainley of South Fulton, TN; a sister, Marlene (Donald) Smith of Novato, CA; and a son-in-law, Jerry (Fane) Bruce of Dresden, TN.
