Peter had been flying with Flight Sgt. John D.M. Douglas, when their plane crashed on February 12, 1945, in the Tramping Lake, Saskatchewan area. John is buried in the St. Johns Norway Cemetery, The Beaches, Toronto Municipality, Ontario, Canada.
