Daughter of Manaseh and Florie Belle Johnson Martin, wife of James Madison Graham.

GALIVANTS FERRY - Irene Graham, age 99, went to her eternal home on December 22, 2013. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Antioch Baptist Church, with the Rev. Chris Jordan and Rev. Gordon E. Graham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in Marion County, on January 17, 1914, Mrs. Graham was a daughter of Manaseh and Florie B. Johnson Martin. In addition to her husband, James Graham, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Boyd Martin, Leo Martin, Lonnie Martin, Walter Martin and Olin Martin; three sisters, Mattie, Janie and Reba; 1 granddaughter; and 1 great-granddaughter.

Survivors include four sons, Edward (Jean) Graham and Leslie (Judy) Graham, both of Galivants Ferry, Doug (Mary) Graham of Goose Creek and Herman (Deirdre) Graham of Shoreham, NY; three daughters, Nellie Jones of Hanahan, Hilda (Alfred) Dorman of Galivants Ferry and Libby (Mitchell) Hardwick of Columbia; 18 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; and 13 step great great grandchildren.

She was a retired farmer, and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church which she attended as long as her health would allow. She loved her Lord and Savior, as well as her large family. She was a great cook and was the matriarch of our family.
