Services were held Tuesday for Mars. Mary L. Schwarz, 877, of 1412 Jackson Road, who passed away Nov. 19 in the Hilltop Village Retirement Center. Rev. Everett Boyce officiated at services in the chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home and interment followed in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
A resident of Kerrville since 1923, she was born February 26, 1899 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She married Charles E. Schwarz July 11, 1923 in San Antonio.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the WSCS, and formerly active in the church choir. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Kerrville and had been very active in the past in the Girl Scout organization.
She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Schwarz of Kerrville; a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Schultz of Bedford; a son, Col. (Ret.) Charles E. Schwarz, Jr. of Harker Heights; five grandchildren and a great grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Peggy King of Kerrville.
