Mrs Lydia C Kerchner, wife of Mr F W Kerchner,
died yesterday at Wilmington, NC. Mrs Kerchner was the daughter of the late Nathaniel Hatch and the niece of Samuel T Hatch, of Baltimore.

Her husband left Baltimore during the civil war and joined the Confederate navy. After the war he entered business in Wilmington, NC. When Cardinal Gibbons was Bishop of North Carolina, he made Mrs Kerchner's residence his home.
