MRS. VERNIE RAY GOSSARD, wife of Fred D. Gossard, died at her home at Millpoint, near Boonsboro, Wednesday night, aged 65 years. She was born and reared in Hagerstown, the daughter of Simon and Laura (Ambrose) Baker. She was a member of the U.B. Church of Williamsport.

Besides her husband the following survive: daughter, Mrs. Mildred Shirley, Sharpsburg; sons, Morris, Akron, Oh.; William E., Hagerstown; Wilmer, Boonsboro; and Carl, U.S. Army, San Francisco, Ca.; nine grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Ida Fritz, Mrs. Edith Gibney and Mrs. Ada Ringer, all of Hagerstown.

Funeral services were held at the A.K. Coffman Funeral Home; interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
