BEVERLY — Linda K. Crowell, age 64, died at home on Sunday morning, November 27th, 2011 after a courageous, year-long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family. Linda was happily married to Doug Crowell for 39 years.

Born in Elmira, NY on July 19th 1947, she was the daughter of Burt and Helen Hall; the fifth of their six children. After graduating from Gordon College in 1970, she worked as a school librarian in Swampscott. She was married to Doug at sunrise on a Sunday morning in 1972 on the hillside at Gordon Conwell. After staying home to raise a family, she went back to school to become a radiation therapist. She worked for twelve fulfilling years at Lahey Clinic, Peabody in the Radiation Oncology department, helping treat cancer patients.

Endearingly known as "Yia Yia" by her grandchildren, she loved them with all her heart. Besides delighting her grandchildren, Linda was an avid quilter, gardener, and decorator. Those who knew Linda appreciated her generosity, determination, energy and her compassion. Her creative and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by those who knew her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Adam Crowell, his wife Erin and their son Nolan; her daughter Angela D'Amour, her husband Brian and children Luke and Maya and her sisters Virginia Aman, Joyce Aman and Rebecca Rybak.
