MADISON — Esther A. Tietz, age 83, died on Friday, January 13, 1995 at a local hospital. She was born in rural, Jefferson County on August 3, 1909. Esther married Harold Tietz on May 25, 1929 in Watertown, Wisconsin. She was employed by Ray-O-Vac for many years, and then as a housekeeper at the UW-Madison dormitories. Esther was an active member in the Madison Women's Bowling Association and the 600 Club. Survivors include a son; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Tietz; six brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at the GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Rd., at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 1995 with the Reverend Bruce Burnside officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
