Services celebrating the life of Donna Hathorn Dutton, 53, will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 23, 2013 at First United Methodist Church Couch Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. Pat Day. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery on St. Vincent Avenue. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport LA 71101.
Donna was born December 6, 1960 in Shreveport, LA. She went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on December 13, 2013. There to greet Donna in Heaven were her sister, Cynthia Rae Hathorn and her father-in-law, Malcolm D. Dutton. Left to cherish her precious memory is her husband, Fred Bradford Dutton, Sr. of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Brittanye Elaine Dutton and fiancé, Lance Michael Coutee of Shreveport, LA; son, Fred Bradford Dutton, Jr. and girlfriend, Brittani Lyn LeBlanc of Shreveport, LA; mother and father, Elaine Thompson Hathorn and Harry Ray Hathorn of Bossier City, LA; mother-in-law, Betty Jo Dutton of Shreveport, LA; brother, Steven Harry Hathorn and wife, Sherry and son, Jake Hayden Hathorn of Elm Grove, LA and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Donna was a devoted mother whose life revolved around her two beloved children. She was a selfless and compassionate woman who never second-guessed the act of giving. Donna was a loving wife and an endearing friend to many; her liveliness and laugh will be remembered by all but never forgotten.
Honoring Donna as pallbearers will be Fred Bradford Dutton, Jr., Steven Harry Hathorn, Lance Michael Coutee, Michael Duane Bice, John Justin Ready, and Daniel Thomas Ready. Honorary pallbearer will be Jake Hayden Hathorn.
The family would like to thank Dr. Quyen Chu, Dr. Huan Q. Le, the nurses at Willis Knighton North, University Health Shreveport and Life-Care Hospitals for their loving care and compassion shown to Donna and our family during her illness.
