John Wayne Murray, Sr. 59 of Virginia Ave. Bluefield, Virginia passed away on Monday, December 09, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, WV. John was born on June 08, 1954 in Richlands, VA to the late John Ealy Jackson Murray and Elizabeth Ann Britt McGuire Murray. John had been a resident of Bluefield, VA for most of his life and was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Bluefield Virginia Police Department and a former member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 11:00a.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV with Rev. George Stamper officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Bluefield, Va. Where the Bluefield VA Police Dept will serve as pallbearers. Military Honors will be performed by VFW Post 9696 Bluefield, Va
