Dumas, Texas - The Rev. JERRY TRAMMELL, 60, of Dumas, Texas, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, in Amarillo, Texas.
Funeral was to be at 10 a.m. today in First Assembly of God, Dumas, with the Rev. Terry Fred, pastor of First Assembly of God, Reno, Nev., officiating, assisted by the Rev. Billy Nickell of Amarillo, the Rev. Robert Slaton of Lubbock, Texas, and the Rev. H.L. Stevens, a retired minister of Dumas. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Waurika (Okla.) Cemetery, with the Rev. Kevin Anderson of Stratford, Texas, the Rev. Chuck Cook of Rolla, Mo., and the Rev. Jeff White of Haslet, Texas, officiating. Burial will be under direction of Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas.
The Rev. Trammell was born Feb. 26, 1945, in Chickasha, Okla., to A.D. and Katherine Trammell. He had been a Dumas resident since 1988.
He married Pat Eslinger on April 10, 1965, in Cement, Okla. He began his ministry in 1969-70 in Sweetwater, Texas. He served in Waurika from 1970-80; Denver City, Texas from 1980-88; and Dumas from 1988 to 2005.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Trammell of the home; a son, Darrin Trammell and his wife, Laura, of Victoria, Texas; a daughter, Stephanie White and her husband, Jeff, of Haslet; two sisters: Minnie Morrow and her husband, Bill, of Mustang, Okla., and Dora Jones and her husband, Eddie, of Oklahoma City; two brothers: Alvis Trammell and his wife, Roberta, and Robert Trammell, all of Noble; grandchildren: Ashlie White, Josh Trammell, Destiny Trammell and Haylie White.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Glenn.
