Julia attended Ogden area schools and graduated from Ogden High School where she was very active in school activities. She attended Weber College and graduated with an Associates Degree. After her schooling she worked as a bookkeeper until she met the love of her life in a church meeting in Ogden where she was singing in a choir. When she and Dick met, it was truly love at first sight for both of them. They were virtually inseparable for the next 60 years.
Julia was very active in the LDS Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, visiting teacher and a visiting teacher supervisor. She had a reputation for being first in line whenever someone was in need. She ad Dick served a Family History Mission in 1998-99. They were also members of the Utah Orchid Society for a number of years.
She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her husband Dick, her three wonderful sons, Rick, Jeff, and Mike as well as her wonderful daughters-in-law, Wendi and Batsukh (Bata) and her sweet grandchildren Kirsten Skye, Logan Van and Togie and Mogie.
Funeral services will be held Saturday July 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ward House, 6550 South 2700 West, Taylorsville, Utah. Viewings will be held Friday 6 - 8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Saturday 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
