In 1959, John Roy Vaughner lived at 937 Union Street S., St. Petersburg, Fla. His home congregation is in Fairfield, Ala. He was baptized by Marshall Keeble Dec. 20, 1925. He married Madie Roberts March 1916. He began preaching in Birmingham, Ala. in 1926; Churches he served include: Henderson, Tenn., 1927; St. Petersburg, Fla., 1930-42; Tampa, Fla., 1943; and Bradenton Fla., 1935. He listed his permanent contact as Marshall Keeble, 1600 Scovel St., Nashville, Tenn. Brother Vaughner done much evangelistic work in state of Fla. and established thirty-eight churches in Fla. He has debated four Advent preachers, ten so-called Sanctified, twelve Baptists. By 1959, he had baptized hundreds. Gospel preachers he baptized include, Charles James Anderson, Raymond Jones Dunwood, I. Gleaton, Columbus Grimsley, and Archie Smith.
