Audrey Jane Hunt, 75, Kokomo, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013. She was born Feb. 25, 1938, in Kokomo, to the late Harry O. Abresch and C. Lucielle (Solomon) Abresch.
Audrey is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Raymond L. Hunt, Kokomo; a sister, Betty Jo Shrock, Miami; a brother, William Abresch, Alexandria; children, Becky (Tom) Douglas, Kokomo, Steve (Lois) Hunt, Logansport, and Daniel (Crystal) Hunt, Russiaville; grandchildren, Megan (Rod) Shaffer, Swayzee, Heather (Jim) Simpson, Atlanta, Kyle Douglas, Greentown, Katherine Douglas, Evansville, Lindy Hunt, Raylie Hunt and Jeremy Hunt, Logansport, Timothy Hunt, Alexander Depoy and Seth Hunt, Russiaville, and Darion Warden, Kokomo; great- grandchildren, Saydee Howell, Jenna Shaffer, Evan Shaffer, Shaelynn Tidd, Joshua Sorrels, Shelley Simpson and Casey Simpson; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry O. and C. Lucielle Abresch, and six brothers.
Audrey enjoyed gardening, flowers, crafts, quilting, needlework, gospel music and spending time with her family. She adored children and shared her love of cooking with them at Greentown Wesleyan Daycare Center.
Visitation will be 3 to7 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Greentown Wesleyan Church, 120 N. Maple St., Greentown. Funeral services will follow visitation Monday at Greentown Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Paul Boss officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo.
